Speaker
Param Dedhia, MD? – Integrative Physician, Internist, Director of Sleep Medicine, Canyon Ranch

Param Dedhia, MD is a passionate internist, integrative medicine doctor, and director of sleep medicine at Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Dedhia (who prefers to be called his first name, Param) seeks to translate medical literature into everyday practices of optimal health. Born and raised in Michigan, Param received his medical degree from Michigan State University where he cultivated his passion for Internal Medicine and lobbied for nutrition to be taught at all medical schools across the US. Moreover, with his family background from India, Param developed a special connection between western and eastern perspectives, and thus an appreciation to bridge modern and traditional approaches. At Johns Hopkins, his training and faculty work spanned the fields of Internal Medicine, Gerontology and Public Health. Yearning to take this further, he sought training at the Center for Mind-Body Medicine and completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine. These experiences inspired Param to honor people not only physically but also mentally, emotionally and spiritually. His practice of medicine connects internal medicine to optimal nutrition, exercise, sleep and mindfulness at every stage in our lives. In coming to Canyon Ranch, he championed the relaunch of the Weight Loss Program, and serves as Director of Sleep Medicine. He specializes in internal medicine, executive health, preventive cardiology, longevity, mind-body medicine, integrative medicine, weight loss and sleep. Param is sought after medical doctor and lecturer who continues to be curious of the world in which he lives. He has studied abroad in Spain and Greece, and has traveled to India, Colombia, Turkey, Italy, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, South Africa and parts of the Silk Road in recent years. He enjoys any book by Malcolm Gladwell. He is nourished by friends and family, rejuvenated by music and dance, and inspired by kindness and wit.
