The doubling of the lifespan has provided immense physical opportunity for humanity – and a predicament for brain health. When we’re outliving our peak brain performance by 20 years, something has to change and the trajectory needs to be altered. This starts with updating our view of brain health, understanding how much control we have, and becoming empowered with tools to enhance our brain performance. Advances in technology have changed the game. The partnership of these forward-moving fields not only provides scalable solutions but also can impact our lives in all areas.

Dr. Sandra Bond Chapman is the Chief Director of Center for BrainHealth at The University of Texas at Dallas. She is committed to enhancing human cognitive capacity and the underlying brain systems across the lifespan. A cognitive neuroscientist she is one of the pioneers who is creating the new field of brain health. Her team is defining, measuring and improving brain health fitness protocols to reach people around the world. The Center for BrainHealth launched its Brain Performance Institute in 2017 to deliver discoveries in cognitive brain health to the public. She spearheaded the UT Dallas BrainHealth Imaging Center, opened in 2019, with a focus on developing measurements of gains in brain systems following interventions. She is co-creator of The BrainHealth Project™, a multi-year collaboration of 32 of the world’s leading brain health experts focused on peak brain performance, inoculating against decline and extending brain capacity to match our longer lifespan.

Jennifer Zientz is Deputy Director of Performance Training and Head of Clinical Services at the Center for BrainHealth, part of The University of Texas at Dallas. She focuses on understanding and promoting healthy cognitive function, with an emphasis on high performance, across the lifespan. The assessments form a holistic composite called the BrainHealth® Index that is taken periodically to track change. The protocols, called Strategic Memory Advanced Reasoning Tactics (SMART™), are delivered as high-performance brain training. Jennifer leads a team of clinicians in training elite thinkers to help them reach beyond their perceived potential. She works with forward-thinking individuals and groups, including C-suite executives, Active Duty Special Ops, first responders and corporate teams. She also oversees BrainHealth training certification programs.
